Current Work:
My
current responsibilities include guiding students on various research
projects, research/development projects with other R&D
organizations, research/development proposal writing and
teaching. A list of various projects that i have guided students and
the publications arising thereof can be seen at:
http://research.iiit.ac.in/~viswanath/robotics/
Essentially
these are the outcome of the robotics
research center which i guide and direct.
A
complete list of my publications can be seen/accessed from here.
In
short we have been in the business of all aspects of mobile and multi
robotic systems: localization, mapping, exploration, planning,
kinematics and SLAM. Our contributions include optimal target tracking
in multi
sensor systems, active localization for multiple robots, extension of
Reeds and Shepp Paths for robots with front and rear steer and
development of low cost micro robotic prototypes for single and swarm
robotic applications among others.
We
are also into systems development. These include an integrated mobile
robotic navigation system for CAIR, Bangalore and development of a low
cost micro robotic testbed for single and multi robotic applications
